Are you ready to dive into the world of fermenting? If so, this is the ultimate kit for you! Included in this kit is everything you need to get started on your fermenting adventure, except veggies, salt and water.

The main component of this kit is our most popular 5L fermenting crock, made by Boleslawiec in Poland. This large fermenting pot features a water seal airlock that allows gases to escape while preventing any mold from forming. As always, the appropriate size weights are also included with your crock, so there isn't anything else you have to purchase! We now include our new exclusive non-porous Luna Glass Crock Weights with this kit.

We also include a Cabbage Shredder in your choice of size - Small or Large. Making sauerkraut goes so much faster with one of these shredders. Made of sustainably grown FSC certified solid poplar, our shredders feature 3-4 removable stainless steel blades. We also wrote this blog post to help decide which size of shredder to purchase! Please note - only the Large Shredders feature a cabbage holder box. The small shredder does not have a box as shown in the photos.

Our Cabbage Tamper/Masher/Pounder is another great tool for speeding up and simplifying the sauerkraut making process. When you use our custom designed masher to pound all the liquid from the cabbage you will be amazed how much juice is released!

We also include a pair of Wood Scissor Tongs with this kit. These tongs are perfect for grabbing a pickle or some sauerkraut out of your crock to test. When fermenting, you should always use non-corrosive utensils (not metal) to avoid any chemical reactions that can change the fermentation process. You can read more about these tongs here.

And of course, with all this equipment, you'll need some recipes. We also include our traditional Polish family recipes for fermenting both pickles and sauerkraut.
