Shipping

Costs

To calculate the cost of shipping, please add the items to your cart.  At the bottom of the shopping cart page, you can enter your state and zip code in order to receive a shipping estimate. 

Shipping is calculated based on the weight of the items you are purchasing and distance from our location in Frankfort, IL.  For small items, shipping will typically be via USPS First Class Parcel or Priority Mail.  For larger items, shipping will typically be through UPS Ground. Orders may come in multiple boxes. We will choose the shipping method based on what is best for each individual order.  If you require a specific shipping method, you must contact emily@stonecreektrading.com for custom shipping options.

Please Note - Many of our items are large, heavy and fragile, making the cost of shipping high.  Rather than averaging out this cost and adding it to the sale price of the item, we charge shipping based on your location.  We do not add an additional handling fee to the shipping costs.

Time

Items are typically shipped 1-2 business days after receiving your order.  We do everything we can to keep our processing within this time frame.  However, large orders or during peak seasons we may require an additional 1-2 business days processing time.  Orders placed after 10am on Friday through Sunday evening will typically ship on Monday.  All items are shipped from our location in the southwestern suburbs of Chicago.  We will email you a tracking number with estimated delivery date once your order has shipped.  Please note that it takes UPS approximately 12-24 hours to update their system, and therefore you may be unable to track the order immediately.  Your order will typically arrive 2-6 business days after it has shipped depending on your location.  UPS does not accept shipments on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays.

Expedited Shipping

We also offer expedited shipping via custom orders.  Please be aware that expedited shipping still needs 1-2 business days to leave our facility.  If you would like to learn more about expedited shipping options, email emily@stonecreektrading.com for a custom quote.

Shipping Addresses

Fermenting crocks cannot be shipped to PO Boxes.  If you are ordering a fermenting crock, please provide a street address.  If you do not provide a street address with the order, we will contact you to ask for a new address.  This will delay the shipping process.

If you live in a rural area, please check your address at www.usps.com to verify that you have it correctly formatted.  If the address is not properly formatted, UPS will not allow us to prepare a shipping label.  We will contact you to verify the correct address which can delay the shipping process.  Unfortunately, even if your local UPS delivery guy knows how to deliver the package to you, the UPS system will report an error resulting in shipping delays and additional fees. 

If you would like to ship items to different addresses, please place a separate order for each shipping address. Our shipping charges are calculated based on the entire order shipping to the address listed as the shipping address.  Shipping charges are reduced for multiple packages going to the same address.  Therefore, we cannot accommodate requests to split up items in one order and ship to different addresses. 

We are not responsible for shipping issues resulting from shipping addresses entered incorrectly, undeliverable orders, orders not delivered because customer is not available to receive the delivery, or any other problem caused by customer error.  If an item is shown as delivered by the shipping company, but the customer is unable to locate the package, we recommend contacting the shipping company directly to open an investigation.

International Shipping

At this time we only ship within the United States. For customers in other locations please see below -

International Orders - Customers located in areas where we do not ship typically use a "reshipping service" which provides a US address to ship to and will reroute your order to an international location for a fee. 

Local Pickup

We operate out of a facility that does not offer a location for customer pick up.
