Behind the Scenes Updates
As many of you know, the tariff situation has made it even more difficult for small businesses like ours to continue to survive. We were lucky that our last shipment was timed just right to avoid additional tariffs. However, with our next shipment due to arrive at the beginning of November, we won't be so lucky. Because of these increased import fees, we are looking at other ways to reduce our overhead expenses so that we can continue to offer quality products without charging luxury prices!
Over the next few weeks we will be sharing some of the changes we are making to streamline our business so that we can hopefully be around for a while longer! Here's what we are starting with this week -
Limited Backstock Available
One of the ways we are reducing costs is to sell some of our backstock inventory. In the past we have kept at least one of each item we sell in our backstock just in case. Some of these items we haven't sold for several years! Instead of continuing to keep these items, we've decided to release them for sale. However, they are extremely limited in quantity, so if you see something you want, don't hesitate or someone else might grab it!
Two of the ceramic studios we are offering items from (Artisan and Mountain) are no longer in business. Both of them decided to close after the pandemic and we haven't been able to restock these items since then. The other products may be able to be restocked in the future, but for the time being we won't be purchasing more.
Factory Second Deals
We've been going through our stock and in the process found several Factory Second items that weren't listed on the website. We don't send out individual updates when Factory Second items restock, but we did want to give everyone a heads up that there are several new items listed in all of these catagories! Remember, these prices save you a lot, but there will be unique flaws with each item. Please read the product description to get an idea of some typical flaws!
